What does parallel closure of dies mean?

Most of the crimpers have a mechanism similar to pliers and scissors- in opening the jaws get apart at an angle, so in crimping the jaws crimp first one end of the terminal, then the middle and only after that crimp the rest parts of the terminal. CTF crimpers are designed so that jaws close with no angle and in opening go parallel to each other. It is considered to be the best variant for proper crimping as the force applies to all parts of the terminal evenly along the whole surface.
